Eight films reflect the history of sites across Pennsylvania--In its 18th year, the Precious Places Community History Project continues to highlight precious spaces within the greater Philadelphia region. Help us celebrate these films made with care by community groups in Philadelphia, Chester, and Coatesville, Pennsylvania.
This year’s films document The Colored Girls Museum in Germantown, the Nidhamu Sasa school by The Black Humanist Fellowship in Germantown, Passtown Elementary School made by the Hayti Historical Society in Coatesville, The Conrail-Anderson railyard by Kenzofish Productions in Fishtown, Fisher Park by Olney Culture Lab, the site of Tabu lounge in Center City by Philadelphia Queer Spaces Project, Philadelphia Freedom Schools by Sankofa Freedom Academy and The United Order of the Tent in Chester, Pennsylvania
